Such an amazing community with thoughtfully designed, modern amenities that feel both high-quality and practical for everyday living. It truly doesn’t feel like any of the other apartments in the Sugar House area—it stands out in the best way. The location is unbeatable, with everything you’d want right nearby. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always creating a positive and genuine experience. One of the standout features is Hills Kitchen—having it right on-site is a huge perk, with excellent coffee and great food that really adds to the overall atmosphere.

The location in the heart of Sugar House is unbeatable—steps away from some of the best dining, shopping, and coffee spots in Salt Lake City, plus easy access to TRAX and major roads when I need to get downtown or to the mountains. It is incredibly walkable, and I love being able to run errands, grab dinner, or meet friends without ever needing to get in the car. Inside, the apartments are beautiful: high‑end, modern finishes, large windows that let in tons of natural light, and smart features that make day‑to‑day living feel effortless. The layouts are well thought out, whether you are in a cozy studio or a larger multi‑bedroom home, and the private balconies are a huge bonus. The amenities are truly next level. The rooftop pool and spa deck feel resort‑style, with plenty of space to lounge and unwind, and the wellness center—with a state‑of‑the‑art fitness area and infrared sauna—makes it easy to prioritize health without leaving the building. I just finished up my tour at sugar alley and I loved the amenities, units, and Clark/team was so friendly. I also appreciated hill’s kitchen being conveniently located in the lobby. Overall it was a an amazing experience and if you’re looking for an apartment in sugar house I would highly recommend!

I’ve been living here for about 6 months and, while there have been a few hiccups, I can’t be happier with this place. A lot of the problems I had could be blamed on the new building and what maintenance called “warranty constraints”, but I can see that most of my concerns are being taken care of. The maintenance team has been working themselves ragged trying to keep this place running and looking nice. I don’t know how they have the energy!

I have been a resident at sugar alley for the last 8 months. The building is absolutely beautiful, location is convenient for shopping, restaurants, and walking. Residents are extremely friendly and Clark our building manager is not only professional and loving to the resident’s animals, but is always available for a friendly chat or help on any building issues.

We have resided at Sugar Alley for just under a year now. We decided to make this our home due to the proximity and convenience of quality restaurants and services in the neighborhood. The great treatment by the management team upon arrival and to date solidified our initial positive impression. Such a stunning apartment complex. The lobby has glass ceilings that allow the natural sunlight to come in. Every interaction I have is always so kind and genuine from the Sugar Alley team. Shoutout to the building manager Clark who is truly THE BEST!!

For what it’s worth, my own experience with Heather has been consistently respectful. I haven’t encountered the negative behavior others describe. And it’s entirely possible that what some read as dismissiveness is simply a person carrying more than she can show. Most of us have days when the weight of our private lives shapes the way we speak or move without meaning to. But the volume of criticism directed at her now feels disproportionate. When a single staff member becomes the stand-in for every frustration in a building, it begins to resemble something closer to servitude — that old expectation that anyone in a service role must absorb every complaint, flawlessly and without the basic permission to be human. That isn’t fairness, and it isn’t how dignity works. This isn’t to dismiss any legitimate concerns residents may have. But people are almost never the harshest version written about them online. They’re more layered than a one-star narrative, and more fragile than the internet allows. As someone who actually lives in Sugar Alley and enjoys living here, I felt the responsibility to say this. For the sake of honesty — and for the sake of the review that will outlast this moment — a little more balance in how we talk about individuals goes a long way. We can ask for accountability without stripping away humanity.

I come here almost 4 to 5 days a week…. This place is the nicest apartment building on the east side of Salt Lake City… actually, from everything I know, the nicest apartment building in all of Utah. It’s like living in a super high-end luxury hotel… Like the Ritz Carlton…. However, it’s in Salt Lake City. Not only is this building amazing… And I think the designers are divine… The management is the absolute best part of this building. If you have met Heather… You know there is no better manager on the this planet…. She’s incredibly sweet, intelligent, smart, kind, beautiful, etc… and all of her staff are angels🪽… Consider yourself fortunate to talk with her…. She’s the best part of this place…. I would have a place here, if it was closer to where my children reside…. Do yourself a favor, and consider moving here, and thank the universe later…. 💫

Wow.. where do I even begin? The Residence at Sugar Alley is about as central to Sugar House as it gets! Walkability without a doubt, designer interior within each apartment, unbeatable amenities, as well as a true sense of community. Heather answered all of our questions, was extremely generous with her time & made the entire tour feel like an exclusive experience. Mountain views coupled with Whole Foods across the street makes this property a serious contender for any & everyone interested in calling Sugar House home!

I've been living at Sugar Alley for a couple of months now, and it's been a great experience. It's definitely one of the best apartment experiences I've had in Salt Lake City. The management and staff are very professional and helpful. Heather in the leasing office solves my problems, and the whole team is responsive and makes you feel welcome. The few times I've needed maintenance, they've been prompt and efficient. The amenities are excellent. The rooftop sky deck is a great feature, with nice views of the mountains. The gym is also a real highlight—it's always clean and has great equipment, like an actual squat rack. The refrigerated package lockers are a very practical touch. My apartment is well-designed and comfortable. The finishes, like the appliances and countertops, give it a very modern feel. It's also been surprisingly quiet. The location is the other big plus—it's very convenient to be able to walk to Whole Foods and the other shops and restaurants in the area. Overall, it's a solid combination of a nice apartment, great amenities, and a helpful staff. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking in Sugar House.

Easily one of the most luxurious and beautiful buildings in all of Utah! Not just as a realtor, but also as an admirer of beautiful architecture and design - The Residences at Sugar Alley - are beyond stunning. A lot of factors contribute to the awesome VIBE there. The location is stellar; the curb appeal is 'Beverly Hills-like'; the Atrium is jaw dropping; the different floor plans have amazing views; that gym though...WOW!; the pool area is beyond stunning; cold plunge; multiple business centers; the list goes on and on. The admin team is amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. The Residences at Sugar Alley are a must-see and must-visit.

I stayed in the Sugar Alley guest unit for 2 weeks while visiting Utah, and I can proudly say this is the best place to stay in SLC! The room is super clean and in perfect condition. AC, hot water, kitchen, etc are working great! The amenities are amazing—spacious gym, sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, and so much more. The restaurants in and around the property are excellent, and the location is perfect—close to everything, including TRAX and plenty of shops. Andy and Heather were fantastic and super helpful with any questions I had. I’d definitely stay here again the next time I visit SLC!

Chaylynn was very thorough during my tour and answered all of my questions with ease. She definitely helped me solidify my decision in my apartment search.
