Gateway 505

Beautiful apartments. I had my rental agent come take a look at them and LOVED the studio. The bedroom had a huge barn door so it was basically a 1 bedroom. This was my first choice, however due to no one following up with my appointment, i went with another gorgeous building on main. Maybe next time around!

Jamel is the shit. Always takes care of people.

I want to complement Jamel , the leasing agent who worked with me on the process of applying and moving in. I had a family tragedy happen in the middle of the application process that made it super stressful for me to get everything done, however Jamel on several occasions calmed me down and kept me thinking positive and really helped so much . I am certain I would have freaked out and just cancelled the whole process if Jamel had not been so amazing and kind and patient . Very cool guy. Greatful I met him and hoping his manager knows how lucky they are to have a guy like this on their team.

So far so good no complaints. Hoping that the remainder of my stay here stays that way - Ashja has been wonderful!

We honestly love this place! This is the first apartment my boyfriend and I are renting and honestly it couldnt be better. We had a couple hiccups with the approval process but Ashja and Jamel were absolutely amazing with helping us work out the kinks. The application process was a little rocky, and we didn’t get approved until after our initial move in date, which meant our initial contract expired. Jamel ended up staying after hours with us to help us get in, at our original price! saved us loads of money, and was super supportive and helpful! Ashja was super kind and reached out to clarify and correct mistakes with the process. Over all just great people in the leasing office and a beautiful place

A bit on the pricey side but honestly it's not a bad place to live. Maintenance is prompt. Staff is helpful and friendly. The app to access everything is convenient and usually runs smoothly.

The location is unbeatable. Being right by the Gateway means we’re close to so many great shops, restaurants, and entertainment options—it's incredibly convenient and adds so much to our lifestyle. Our apartment’s floor layout is one of our favorite things about living here. It’s modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and function. It really feels like home. The maintenance team deserves a big shoutout, too. They’ve been prompt, efficient, and courteous every time we’ve needed anything. It’s clear they take pride in their work. The amenities are another highlight—everything is well-maintained, clean, and accessible. Whether it’s the fitness center, common areas, or outdoor spaces, everything is kept in top shape. Overall, Gateway 505 is a fantastic place to live. We’ve felt right at home from the start and truly appreciate how well everything is managed.

I have lived here over a year now. I have loved it. I might update my review with more pictures but for now, please accept my words. I live in a wonderful building with great staff who are helpful, courteous and kind. Kyler and Jamal at the front have always been so attentive and sincere. When we first moved in, the maintenance team wasn't what it is now and our apartment was a disaster. When Kyler learned of what was wrong, she told me that she would make it right and make it up to us. I had come from another complex that would promise you things but never follow through. So I smiled and nodded but expected we would need to fix things ourselves. To my surprise and delight, she arranged for maintenance to show up and fix many, many things. In addition, she gave us a gift card as her way of saying sorry for what happened and how it was not in keeping with the standards of the complex. Jamal has for many, many months and has been a consistent mainstay at the front. Jamal is a great guy. He is always to the point, considerate, sincere, involved and professional. I have especially enjoyed how I can ask him any question and he will have the answer that I need. He won't give me corporate double speak, he won't comfort me with a lie, he will give me the answer I need with whatever situation I have faced. Plus, he knows my name and always greets me. They all know my name. I really appreciate that. I would be remiss in this review if I did not mention the maintenance team. Alex and Eric are awesome. Apartment living can be a mixed bag. Construction standards feel like they are slipping as everyone wants to make a quick buck. Alex is head maintenance and he is always trying to help us how he can. The man has what feels like limitless energy. I admire his work ethic and how he has helped us in a lot of different ways. We had this issue with one of the pipes in our ceiling making an odd knocking noise. He tried about eight different ways of trying to diagnose and fix the problem. In the process, he found at least one other major problem and was able to catch that before it got worse. All with a smile and without a complaint. Eric is the appliance master. He knows the ins and outs of all our appliances and how to troubleshoot and fix them. We had an issue with our dishwasher not cleaning or draining properly. He showed up, prepared with a special cleaner, plopped it in the dishwasher, started it on a heavy load and left. It was like 2 minutes. Worked incredibly! Both also are always professional, kind and always greet me in the halls. When it was time to renew, they gave us an early bird special of keeping our current rent with no increase. Who does that? No one I know in the area. I was so impressed and it has been a delight living here. I am a really tall guy (6'8") and I love the tall ceilings. I enjoy how I live in a place where people actually care. They care if you have mold, they care if there's an issue. They also learn your name and make you feel welcome. They take pride in their work. If you are looking for a place to live, take a tour here. They keep everything clean to the best of their ability, they are diligent and consistent. This review is long enough but just so you know, the pool area and the other amenities are really nice. Another shout out to maintenance (and cleaners Gustavo and Carmen) for their tireless work keeping everything clean and pretty. Cheers!

The place is beautiful, our unit is spacious with a nice patio, and the building is packed with amenities like a pool and game room. Couldn’t be happier with the experience!

This place was everything i was looking for and more and what made it even better was that Jamel was so informative and enthusiastic about the leasing process and helped shine out over 10 places I had looked at that day that it made it an almost instant desicion. I recently moved out to Salt Lake, and while I unfortunately was unable to physically tour any properties, Zac made the apartment search absolutely seamless! He was incredibly helpful in navigating different units and lease options and was readily available for all my questions prior to move in which ended up being very quick and easy. Additionally, he was willing to provide numerous virtual tours which really made my decision on where to live an easy one. He and the rest of the staff are very friendly and always helpful. Since moving in, him and Jamel have also been my go to’s for any questions relating to the complex. As for the complex, it is a fantastic location near the Gateway mall, and the amenities within the complex are amazing and clean. I also feel like the cost of rent is very fair for the value we receive and compared to other buildings in the area. The ONLY thing that I don’t love is the common area utilities and valet trash fee, but I feel like that is a standard nearly everywhere and the common areas are very well taken care of. Overall 5/5.

Best touring experience!! I was in a time crunch to find a new place and the leasing professional, Jamel was so wonderful to work with. He showed me three different options within my short time frame, showed me all the beautiful amenities, and gave me all the pricing details. I've lived here for 2 years and I've really enjoyed it! I have friends that have issues with their building or management team but my experience has been really positive and seamless. All the staff have been very helpful and friendly. Zac in particular has helped me with a lot of different issues I've had and is very knowledgeable about any renting questions I've had. Great value, great amenities, and great location!

Nice apartments, well maintained amenities, and friendly staff! Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the price increase, but other than that a very nice place to live. I've been able to get maintenance and repairs done easily both online and in the office with Zach.

I have lived at Gateway 505 for the past 6 years. I can attest that the management team, Zac, specifically, to be friendly, efficient & helpful. The maintenance team, Jose, Curtis & Eric, respond quickly to the maintenance issues we may have.

We had a great move in experience. The staff is extremely friendly and goes the extra mile to help. Logan and Kyler were extremely helpful in every step of our move in process. They helped us decide the apartment we wanted and find the best deal as well!

Update April 30, 2024: we are coming up on 3 years of living here now and it has been great. The new management is doing a good job especially with keeping the garage doors working and installing new locks throughout the facility that work with your phone or a code as well as a fob. Kyler, Logan, Zach, and Curtis are working hard to get everything into shape. We are moving out of state and will miss our apartment and great neighbors! 💛 -We love living here. We moved in 8 months ago and are so happy with the layout of our apartment, the convenience of the parking garage and valet trash service, and how quiet our apartment is most of the time. Our balcony is above the pool so it can get loud at times but if our windows and balcony door are closed it is amazing how much noise is blocked. Randi, the housekeeper, does a great job keeping the common areas clean and is super friendly and kind. The office staff does a great job too as does the maintenance staff.

Moving into Gateway 505 was such a breeze, thanks to Kyler! She was incredibly kind, and accommodating throughout the process. The facility itself was absolutely stunning, with beautiful amenities and a great atmosphere. The people are very friendly and a huge dog community for my puppy! I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Gateway 505! Special thanks again to Kyler, Logan and the management team. Absolutely love my new apartment!

I have lived here at the Gateway for almost a year now and I don’t think I could have received a better experience when I first moved to Utah! Zac has been a tremendous help when it comes to any concerns I have regarding living situation, as well as being nothing but transparent when providing information and advice for me on renewing my lease here! And the maintenance teams reaction time to resolving technical issues in my unit or common area utilities is unparalleled to any other complex I have stayed in. And as someone that moves frequently for work I can only hope where I stay next is half as good as the team I have had the pleasure of getting to know here!

Honestly the best complex I’ve ever lived in. The apartments themselves are spacious and new, and the amenities like the pool and gym are great, too. The office staff is friendly and always willing to help if you need anything. Logan the leasing manager is wonderful! Great location right downtown, with a convenient and secure parking garage. Super happy to have found this place!

We've been at Gateway 505 now for about 3 weeks and it has so far been an AMAZING experience. We looked at 8 (of a scheduled 14) other areas in the downtown SLC space, but once we toured here we cancelled all further appointments. The amenities are fantastic, the staff are all warm and friendly and we've had all questions answered. The move in process was very smooth. Zac is simply wonderful. He's helped us through ever step and process to make sure we had the best experience possible. Highly recommend looking at these apartments when considering a move to SLC

I visited 20+ apartments in my search to find a new place in SLC. Zac was super welcoming, informative, and communicative throughout the whole process, which contributed to my decision to join Gateway 505. Logan was very helpful as well with ironing out the finer details of the lease. Curtis, Jose, and Daniel were quick with resolving any maintenance issues to a high standard. Needless to say, I found my new home!

I very last minute needed to find a new place to live and Zac was so helpful! I was able to move in pretty much within 24hrs which is a miracle. Zac is so friendly and I can see he goes out of his way to remember the residents here and be supportive.

While apartment hunting we found this place and made an appointment. The 2 younger guys who were the front office staff were very friendly. We were met by Logan who was amazing! He gave us knowledgable tour and answered all of our questions. Logan was very professional and the complex was just like the photos! Definitely recommend checking this place out :)

Pros: Great location, wired ethernet in units, Google Fiber access, EV charging stations, and a pool. Front office is generally a pleasure to work with. Cons: Management is always in a bit of disarray. Changed management companies three times in four years. Lots of college students who party late and trash the common areas. Stinky hallways,due to trash. Several irresponsible dog owners. Building access for guests has been lacking for years with non functioning call boxes and limited issuance of keyfobs.

I am giving 4 stars because whomever the vendor is for one of the garage doors is not doing their job thoroughly. The apartments are very nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are a few hidden fees that are not mentioned, such as the the "service fee" that I have to pay along with my rent. Otherwise, the location is great, very close to the trax and downtown proper.

The leasing office staff are awesome! They are so friendly and always looking out for the tenants.

i love how secure the building is. Itâ??s is very aesthetically pleasing Management interacts with the community very well through their online portal, by providing updates and current events that are going on. They also respond in very timely matter to service requests, or any issues that may arise. I love my one bedroom apartment. It is very spacious and has plenty of storage space. The gym has amazing equipment and is very clean. I have not been to the pool yet, but itâ??s heated which is a plus. I highly recommend considering moving to 505 Gateway. It is within walking distance to plenty of entertainment and a short walk to Trax.

The management team, is one of the best I have had the pleasure working with. They made the whole process of securing a new home wonderful and pleasurable. Update: February 2022 : Let me tell you what a great staff they have here and place to live: Update February 2023: There are always challenges. I felt shortly after February 2022 the new management team did not care about the residents of the building. It seems all the old manager only cared about quotas and how her numbers looked. She chased half the residents away. The New Manager and office staff are making a huge difference. They care about the residents and are doing everything to make sure we are well taken care of. Sigifredo has made a difference. I cannot rave enough about Alex and the maintenance staff. They have been right on top of everything and make sure that everything in our unit operates properly. Thank you Alex. There positive changes were why we signed our new lease for year 4. This is a wonderful place to live. The amenities and staff making living here an enjoyable experience. Being someone who work remotely, I appreciate the quiet and wonderful atmosphere. We are getting ready to start our fourth year here, and look forward to great experiences. We love ❤️ ❤️ living here

My girlfriend and I have had a great experience with Gateway and found their staff very helpful throughout the process. Visited this property and had a very positive experience. Olivia was very friendly and professional throughout the comprehensive tour of the unit and building. My circumstances changed and I am moving outside of SLC but I’d live here with confidence. Far superior to other property managers I’ve encountered that can’t even get my name correct.

The apartments are modern, there are many amenities (pool, gym, rooftop, game room). Everyone at the administration is very nice and helpful, especially Emily. The neighborhood is very convenient.

My boyfriend and i just moved in and so far we absolutely love it. Shout out to Emily for being so helpful and patient with us as we went through the leasing process! The entire property is beautiful and the apartments are super updated!

My wife and I wanted to make a move outside of California and our first stop is SLC Utah. We didn't know what to except since everything was done online with our transition and this is how it went. Since day one our experience has been wonderful. The staff at Gateway has been great! I have been working with Emily ! She was kind and very helpful. See answer all my questions, making our move here smooth and easy. From Cali to Utah going by what I see online was trust and that right there can be risky we didn't know what we were getting into. Trust me people, The Gateway website is legit from the photos to the layout to the apartment. The staff has been wonderful and very welcoming. Like we known each other for a long time. Thank you everyone for making my wife and I feel at home! PS. Chandler and Randy have been supperrrrrr great too. They always get the job done great and super friendly and professional.
