Living at Citizen Apartments has been a genuinely great experience for me. As someone who writes books, runs a drone company, and builds online businesses, I really value having a place that supports both productivity and quality of life—and Citizen does that well. The leasing office has always been friendly, helpful, and approachable, which makes a bigger difference than people realize. The co-working space is a huge plus and gives me a real place to focus without feeling stuck in my apartment. The gym, pool, and spa also make it easy to stay balanced and recharge. I also appreciate the small events, treats, and thoughtful touches that help neighbors connect. The clubhouse has epic views, and the rooftop is one of the best spots downtown, with BBQ grills, hammocks, and sun loungers that make it easy to relax and enjoy the city. The location is another major win, and as a dog owner, having the dog park here is a real bonus. If I had one small criticism, it’s that the dog park has the potential to become something even more special with a little more grass, a few trees, and some creative dog-friendly features—but that may just be my creative side imagining what it could become. Overall, Citizen has been more than just an apartment for me—it’s been a place where I can work, live, and recharge in the heart of downtown. I’m genuinely grateful to call it home.

Absolutely love the citizen, Super friendly front desk/management that's always willing to help your needs. Aswell as gorgeous city views all around that can't go unnoticed. Super easy moving in situation with lots of elevators, Big hallways, & large spaces. If your looking for a place on the edge of downtown Salt Lake, look no further.

Staff is very responsive to requests. Nice amenities including gym, pool, hot tub, and club room. Roof has fantastic views of both downtown and the mountains.

My partner and I have lived here for less than a year and we absolutely love it! Management is very easy to work with, and the custodian staff is always smiling and friendly. We have a dog and we could not think of a better dog-friendly apartment! The location is very convenient and close to the Trax. My partner and I go to the university and we Trax every day.

We moved in a couple of months ago and we’ve had a great experience! The amenities are great, the staff are helpful and kind, and the neighbors are kind and helpful!

Office staff is great and very helpful. Hallways are stained. I was told hot tub would be open year round when I applied.

Love this place. Moved in a month ago. The staff is amazing, the building is clean and the amenities are great. Could honestly stay in here all day and they have a gym and club room with a pool table.

I have lived here for almost a year and I can confidently say I am proud to live here and proud to renew my lease. Reading through some of these reviews you can feel as if the place is unclean or dirty but this is not true at all. The staff are very generous and while it may take longer than 5 minutes to have your problem fixed they do their very best. The neighbors are noisy sometimes but good luck finding an apartment building where this isn’t the case. Overall I love living at the citizen!

I have lived here for almost a year and it has been wonderful! The amenities are super nice, having a pool in the summer is the best, and the apartments are also super great. I just moved from a micro studio to a 2 bedroom, and I will say the studio was a great first apartment! I want to shout out Richard, who was super helpful when I moved out, as well as Kayla and Brynlee has been super amazing. I love living here and can’t wait for another year!

I moved into The Citizen about a month and a half ago, and I’ve had a great experience so far. The building strikes a perfect balance of comfort, convenience. The amenities are top-notch, modern, and thoughtfully designed, which really enhances everyday living. The staff has been incredibly welcoming and helpful. Kayla and Brynlee, in particular, have both been friendly and attentive, making the move-in process smooth and ensuring residents feel at home. Overall, I’m very happy with my decision to live here and would definitely recommend The Citizen to anyone looking for a well-managed, comfortable place in a great location.

Last Month we moved our Daughter into this Very nice complex. The amenities and floor plans exceeded our expectations. Kayla was our agent and I cant compliment her enough. So very nice and patient with our numerous visits. After the lease was signed she went above and beyond to help with internet and other move in related tasks. Highly recommend.

Great first few months of tenancy. From the onboarding process (Brynlee) to the first maintenance services (Kayla and Richard), the team has been genuinely available and friendly. As per the brand new building (gym, jacuzzi, and terrace), it has been a great experience overall.

The Citizen has been a great place to live. The location is perfect - in walking distance from downtown, liberty park, and many grocery stores. Heidi (leasing manager), Richard (maintenance), and the rest of the staff have been very helpful and accommodating. The longer we’ve been here, the happier we are with our decision.

We dropped in to tour apartments and townhomes at The Citizen, and wound up falling in love and plan to make it our new home. The building, amenities, and staff are top notch. We can't wait to join this community!

The Citizen is truly a premier apartment complex in SLC. Management is easy to communicate with, maintenance gets issues completed quickly, and the property is well maintained! A beautiful place to live.

I have been living at The Citizen for over 6 months and I am very happy with it. The quality of the apartment and the amenities are outstanding, and the building is quiet: we can hardly hear any noises from neighboring units or common areas. The staff is great! Brynlee and Kayla (front desk), Richard (maintenance), and Celina (cleaning) all do an amazing job. They are friendly, responsive, and efficient. No apartment complex is perfect, and The Citizen has its issues here and there. But I would choose it again and totally recommend it to friends.

I have been at The Citizen for over six months and overall I have been really happy living here. The staff, Brynlee and Kayla, are friendly, responsive, and accommodating. They organize events for residents and are always happy to answer questions or help with any issues that arise. Richard, who’s in charge of maintenance is also very efficient, responsive, and nice. Celina is also very nice and does an amazing job keeping the common areas clean. This complex really shines with its thoughtfully designed apartments. Huge windows let in lots of natural light. All the appliances are new and work well. The closets are enormous and built in shelves give us so much room to store our things. The AC and heating system is quiet and effective. The views of downtown and the mountains are beautiful. The amenities of the apartment building are also great. The fitness room is on the top floor with a beautiful view of the downtown city skyline and the mountains to the west. The only thing missing in the fitness room is a designated area for stretching or independent fitness activity without use of machines. The pool and hot tub are also great, and the hot tub is available year-round. There’s also a clubhouse with several TVs, a pool table, and a shuffle board. There are just a few issues we’ve faced living here. During the first few months there did seem to be a huge influx of students due to an arrangement with the University of Utah. This influx of students made the complex feel a bit like a dorm for a couple months, with students hanging out in the clubhouse late into the night and leaving trash behind. However, things have really calmed down since then. I don’t know if they moved out or the novelty of the amenities wore off. Overall, we’re really happy we chose to live here. We looked at many different apartment complexes near downtown and this one had the nicest apartments, most friendly and accommodating staff, and best location (walkable to both downtown and Liberty Park!).

Tireless effort, persistence and consistency. Heidi showed me more than 15 units and all the features and common areas of the Citizen. Kayla followed up with assistance on everything "move-in" related; unit access, wifi, door locks, utilities, website etc. Brynlee trouble shot payment and website access issues for me. This team is a well oiled machine.

I stopped by the citizen last minute and spoke to Brynlee and Kayla about potentially renting a future apartment. I was very satisfied with their professionalism and customer service. They exceeded my expectations with the amount of knowledge they knew. I would highly recommend checking out.

What a gorgeous community. Kayla was informative and so helpful on the tour. The courtyard pool is incredible and the rooftop provides views that are unmatched. Highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a new place to call home in Downtown SLC.
