Southgate Apartments

I recently moved to Southgate Apartments, and it has felt like a breath of fresh air to call this place home. Madison and Vega went above and beyond at every step of the way during the moving process, working with me to make the transition go as smoothly as possible. I couldn't be more impressed with their positivity and professionalism, as well as their kindness and enthusiasm to say hello to me and the dogs each time they see us. The experience thus far has been phenomenal, and a welcome change from my previous place. It's quiet and peaceful. The grounds are well maintained. The units are up to date with modern design. The neighbors are friendly. The clubhouse and amenities look wonderful. The gym has a variety of equipment. The pool area is clean. The maintenance team responds very quickly to even small issues. There are no noticeable bugs aside from a few harmless gnats that are attracted to the outdoor lights at night (the property is next to a canal so that's to be expected). It's nice to walk through the property grounds and not see drug deals, strung out homeless individuals, or daily law enforcement responses to domestic violence and overdoses. I can't recommend Southgate Apartments highly enough to anyone who is looking for a nice community to be part of. I hope each new resident can add to it to make it even better.

Loved living here! The staff has taken such good care of us. The manager keeps everything so nice and is friendly! Their maintenance man is happy and helpful-any issues taken care of right away-and listens to your preferences. They have gone above and beyond. All new appliances. Very quiet setting. Inviting warm pool and large jacuzzi. Your own personal resort. Not crowded.

We needed some plumbing and electrical done ASAP and Christian and Enrique responded quiclkly. They replaced the old toilet with a brand new one. They fixed and upgraded the shelving in the closets, And they installed a new lighting fixture in the dining room. They were quick and efficient and professional. The whole maintenance team has been great over the years. It is a well run property. Thank you again Christian and Enrique!

This apartment complex is one of the best, they are so sweet and the maintenance people are always on top of it.

I have lived here for 2 years now and absolutely have nothing but good to say about this complex! The maintenance staff is amazing and are very quick to respond when requested for any maintenance related issue needing to be fixed within the apartments! (MOST issues are taken care of the same day they're reported)!! 5 stars for sure!

Living at Southgate Apartments has been a great experience so far. The community is peaceful, well-kept, and conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, and main roads. The management team is always helpful and easy to communicate with, which makes a big difference. I also appreciate how quickly maintenance requests are handled and how clean the property is overall. It’s a comfortable and safe place to call home—I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking in the Sandy area.

I’ve had an excellent experience at Southgate Apartments. The location in Sandy is great, close to everything you need, and the common areas are always clean and well maintained. Maintenance responds quickly, and the office staff is friendly and professional. The apartments are comfortable and quiet, and it feels like a safe place to live. Christian and Enrique are excellent maintenance staff. Madison, the manager, provides excellent service. The maintenance team at this property is fully functional and highly efficient. The apartments are Renovated, the new look is amazing and the green areas are lovely, peaceful and clean. The maintenance team is effective and the staff management are so professional and kind.

I have lived at the Southgate apartments now for just about a year and half, maybe a little more. I have never referred to my apartment as an "apartment", but simply as my home. Southgate's management team has been wonderful to work with from day one. They are kind and respectful which is so different from the other apartment complexes I have lived in. They make me feel seen and heard. I love that they've updated so much around the complex. Adding fiber internet, new appliances, and brand new roofs made me feel safe where I live. I have also never felt unsafe here do to crime in the area. My spouse and I regularly walk to get a midnight snack down the road or get late night groceries. There aren't loud or inconsiderate neighbors. Everyone here is just looking to relax after a long day of work. I also love how clean and beautiful the grounds are! I can tell how hard the maintenance team works to maintain the plants and all of it is stunning. All together Southgate is a wonderful place to live and I would suggest that anyone live here!

I heard about this place from a friend who used to live here a few years back. They had complaints about how it was being maintained. Happy to say that those issues have not been a problem for me at all. Seems to be under new management. Very friendly community. Very accommodating and responsive managers.

I have absolutely zero complaints about the Southgate Apartments! I love the experience I've had living here over a year and a half. The property managers at the leasing office have been nothing but kind and professional, the whole complex is quaint and peaceful, great for families, young couples, or older couples looking for a quiet place to settle. They have been wonderful at updating things when they're older. Our key fobs and all of our kitchen appliances were just updated this year! Anytime we've been worried about something not working they are very quick to fix it! I love that It's close to many convenient stores, and restaurants, as well as the public transportation. My spouse and I both walk most places because we don't have a car and it's nice to have things nearby. My spouse and I have loved the pool, hot tub and gym amenities. They don't get crazy busy and we have never felt crowded. We were also able to use the on site washer and dryer until we were able to get our own. Overall we are very happy here and I hope this was informative as well as comforting to read about. My spouse and I know looking for a new place to live is scary but this experience was wonderful and we don't want to leave anytime soon😊

I have lived in several apts in the area . But I've never had such great maintance . Apts are very clean and maintained. My neighbors here are very quite and peaceful. . The office ladies are very friendly and help ful. Makes me feel right at home. I've found my peace.

I have lived in this community for 5+ years. Any issues I have ever had are taken care of promptly. This is a very nice property and the neighbors are great. The office staff is always very quick to respond to inquiries and maintenance is quick and efficient at getting work done. I would recommend this community to anyone who is looking for somewhere to call home. It’s also a plus that it has quick freeway access and Harmons nearby.

We’ve lived in these apartments for a few years now and can say, there are finally great maintenance men working here. Enrique is always attentive and willing to help with any maintenance issues we’re having. He’s quick and always makes sure we’re satisfied with his work.

I’ve seen a lot of improvement lately and I’m super grateful! Our maintenance manager Bob has helped me so much any time I have an issue. It makes my life a breeze!

This has honestly been the best apartment complex I've ever lived at (I've been here for almost three years). Madison the property manager is always really friendly and accommodating. Whenever I have a question or call in, she is always very pleasant and knowledgeable. Maintenance is also very helpful, and will go above and beyond if you ask for help. Madison has also been very responsive when I have reached out with questions or any concerns (which I don't have much of here!). Honestly, I'm so glad I moved here, the grounds are well-kept and everyone is so friendly! The huge amounts of guest parking and the pool/hot tub are also a plus!

I moved into southgate apartments a few years ago and my experience lately has been so great. The manager has been friendly and quick to answer all of our questions for us and addressed any issues promptly. The maintenance staff and groundskeepers have worked hard and the place looks beautiful. I love coming home after work and taking my dog for a walk around the community. I have fallen in love with my home at Southgate!

Apartments all have their positives and negatives. As far as as I can tell I love these apartments and the lush community grounds. The maintenance guys and management staff are super helpful and nice. Our neighbors are really friendly too. It's It's safe and tucked away complex that's close too dutch bros (Bonus!!!) And Harmons Grocery. B&D Burgers is a couple blocks down and they have the best zucchini fires (ask for extra crunchy) . The Apartment layout for a 2 bedroom 1 bath seems a little awkward at first but once you get moved in it makes a lot more sense and it's easy to furnish. Lots of storage space and room so it's an easy to clean and organize layout. To top it off the rent is right especially when you could be paying a lot more for a lot less and have to deal with cranky management. Kortney is the leasing manager we have dealt with and she is always happy and personable. It's worth waiting for an open unit!

Lived here for a few months while we were transitioning homes and we honestly have no complaints. Apartments are fine. Nothing fancy. It's just a place to live. The repairman is prompt and fixes things amazingly fast. We never used the pool or hot tub but it looked fine. Gym is awful but most apartment ones are. We felt safe and although there are some sketchy neighbors, we would have still moved in and done it all over again. For a long term thing? Probably not so much.

I've lived at Southgate for 6 months now, and I like it just fine. Javier (maintenance) and Britney (leasing office) have been nothing but efficient and super helpful. I truly love the diversity of people who live in the complex, and love hearing kids play outside, which is an indication to me that it's safe to run around freely. The streets could definitely use more lighting though. And honestly, I think that the kind of people who write these nasty reviews are the same people who probably have trouble no matter where they live. The common denominator is you, get a grip.

Our experience with the employees of Southgate were way above average, Kim (the manager) was always willing to listen to any of our concerns & she made sure that things were promptly taken care of ! Kim was always polite, pleasant & very professional! Wayne, the maintenance manager, was very polite & knowledgeable in things he needed to fix in our apartment. We are looking forward to moving back to Southgate in the spring of 2015. Thank you Kim & Wayne!
