How consistent is the rating

Fairly consistent±0.4

Its rating has stayed within about ±0.4★ of its average over time, month to month.

Measured from the rating weighted by how many reviews back each month, so a single review can't swing it. Sourced, not scored.

Every review over time

All 150 reviews by rating, back to Jul 2022. Bands of orange show when low ratings clustered. (Older dates are approximate.)

How the rating mix shifted over time

Share of each star rating by year, normalized to 100% — so a growing orange band means a rising share of low reviews, whatever the volume. (Older years are approximate.)

5★4★3★2★1★

Rating trend, two ways

Mean (solid) vs median (dashed) by year — a gap means opinion split that year.

Of the reviews left each year, the share that were 1–2★ — the unhappy-review rate.

  • ★★★★★Jan 2025

Head of maintenance is AWESOME. He’s always fixed everything in our place and helped out super fast and very efficiently.

    AmenitiesParking

Centennial was a great place to live- good ward, nice amenities, and the rent was not too bad. Parking was super affordable and as long as you weren’t home too late on week nights, you could always find space. Maintenance was great- they helped with many issues: bathroom sinks, showers, and toilets, faulty fire alarms, wasps, and kitchen issues. They always fixed everything in a timely manner, were kind and respectful, and made sure to communicate about what they needed access to and when they were fixing things. The location was my favorite part: quiet neighborhood, sooo close to the mountains (could easily walk from centennial to the foot of the mountain & some mountain walking trails), and not even a 20 minute walk to campus. They also have the King Henry Shuttle nearby which is a great way to get to campus if you don’t feel like walking. The one negative part is that -when moving out- you are responsible for cleaning the *entire* shared area of the apartment to a white glove standard, rather than just your room & one shared area. I’ve lived at a few other complexes (one of which was managed by redstone in Idaho) and I’ve never had to clean the kitchen, bathroom, living room, entry way, hallway, dining area, balcony, AND my bedroom to a white glove standard. I’ve always just had to do my bedroom & one other area (usually bathroom if I’m the only one moving out) since other people were still actively living in and using the other spaces. Kind of an odd way to do white glove, but the office was really nice about letting me know the standards & were apologetic about the fact that it’s the entire apartment rather than just an area. Basically: don’t expect to get your security deposit back when moving out because nobody I know has told me they’ve passed the move out white glove. As for regularly scheduled clean checks: I don’t know how everyone else in these reviews seemed to consistently fail… in my apartment, we would always fail the oven job, because it was an old oven that had YEARS of failed cleaning check level stains. Thankfully, one of my roommates moms told us how to get those off, and we stopped failing. Cleaning checks were not half as bad as some places I have lived. As long as you look at the list they give you and actually get those tasks done, you should be fine. My one critique about clean checks is with timing. They say 10am, but often don’t come until the afternoon, making it hard to use *anything* in your house until the cleaning people come because you don’t want to fail. To remedy this, I would suggest that management lets apartments sign up for 15 minute time slots on clean check day so that tenants know when they need to have things cleaned by, and when to actually expect the cleaning people. I lived in a place in Idaho that did this and it was great. Made life easier for management and tenants. Management & office workers were always very sweet, would answer any questions you had, and made sure that Centennial was a clean, fun, safe place to live. I would definitely recommend Centennial to a BYU student looking for an affordable, comfortable, close to campus housing complex.

  • ★★★★★Dec 2024

Things were fixed well and promptly!

  • ★★★★★Dec 2024

Request was taken care of within the day!

  • ★★★★Nov 2024

They did an awesome job of fixing our dishwasher in a timely manner! We were visited the day after we put in the request, and we received a new dishwasher within a week or so. I only wish I would have received an email after their initial visit to let me know that the case was not closed but that they were waiting on parts. (I didn’t see the update to the case until I, thinking the issue had been improperly addressed, went to submit another request and realized they were still working on the previous one.)

    Management

Centennial apartments was really fast at responding to maintenance requests, the Ward was really fun, and they were willing to extend my contract once I told them that it was going to end during the middle of finals week...it's a good place to live off-campus!

    ParkingFees & rentManagement

This place is pretty good for the price. The apartments are in pretty good shape and are comfortable. Parking is kinda a nightmare sometimes and they charge a lot for it. They say 10$ a month or 70$ for a year and then charged me 70$ for 5 months, and refused to give me money back. Management is nice but hard to contact and maintenance requests take a long time to get done. I was over charged more than once though so if you move in keep up on the charges. Good first apartment or cheap option.

  • ★★★★★Jan 2023

Fixed the problem quickly and did a great job! Thank you!

  • ★★★★Sep 2022

Took a while to show up but was efficient when fixing our oven

  • ★★★★Aug 2022
    Management

All my maintenance requests were fulfilled quickly and they did a great job communicating with residents about water or electrical issues being worked on. Only had a few problems with the laundry room but downloading the laundry app fixed then. Always answered my phone calls** when I had questions. Emails were a little unclear at time, but calling** for clarification always worked. A couple weird charges, but always got fixed when addressed through email, in person, or over the phone. Parking wasn’t great, but SO much better than the surrounding complexes so can’t complain much.
