Aliso Apartments

I moved to Aliso about a month ago and it’s been a really great experience so far. The building is well kept, the apartment is great, and everything has been smooth since day one. Everyone working here has also been really kind and welcoming. You can tell the team genuinely cares about the people who live here. Big shoutout to Shaunt for making my move-in process soooo easy and smooth! I’ve been renting for years, and he’s by far the best property manager I’ve ever worked with. He was super helpful and responsive, and made everything feel simple and stress-free from the initial tour all the way through move-in. Moving can be a lot, but he really made it seamless. Super glad I chose to live here 🔥

My wife and I are huge fans of Aliso. The units are great and the amenities here are awesome. We took multiple tours and the staff were all great. In particular, Shaunt was very friendly, professional and helpful.

I recently moved in and have already been really impressed with the community and the improvements being made! I’m especially excited about the new gate being added to the dog park. I’ve noticed that a lot of people use the dog park — even some who don’t live here — so I’m really looking forward to it being more enclosed and secure. It’s currently being built, and I can already tell it’s going to make such a difference for residents and their pups. The cleanliness of the building really stands out too. The hallways, elevators, and common areas are consistently tidy and well maintained, which makes coming home every day feel comfortable and cared for. Maintenance has also been great — they’re responsive and you can always see them around the property fixing things and keeping everything in good shape. Overall, it truly feels like management is investing in making the community better for everyone, and that makes a big difference!

I just renewed my lease for the second time! I moved here in the summer of 2023, and I’m happy to be staying for a while longer. The rent isn’t cheap, and the rate went up during both renewals, but the community is worth it to me. I love the neighborhood and community. It’s clean and safe, walkable and convenient, great vibes in general. The amenities are the best I’ve ever had living in a complex. The cleaning staff is absolutely amazing, so attentive and caring. From the gym to our hallways, no area is left behind. And my day isn’t complete without one happy run in with Jonathan! The gardeners are also incredible, and it shows across the complex. I love the landscaping and greenery and am impressed with how well-kept everything is. The maintenance team is awesome, super attentive and responsive. I’ve never had to wait more than a day for my issue to be resolved, whether it’s a clogged drain or closet shelving coming down. Jose and Fidel are the best! Lastly, the leasing office staff is kind, friendly, and effective. I love that they regularly host community events for the residents. From food truck Tuesday to movie night at the pool, it’s a fun community to be a part of. Emily is fantastic to work with and will make sure you’re taken care of. Overall positive experience living at the Aliso.

This building complex and the management are awesome. I'm really happy to be living here. Jose and the maintenance team are especially helpful and professional. And the rest of the leasing office and management are very available and responsive. The units are modern and spacious, and the building amenities are excellent. Couldn't say enough good things about this place. Thank you!

I have lived in the arts district for 2 years and recently moved into the Aliso community and I absolutely love it so far! The building and overall atmosphere are a great fit for me. I want to give a HUGE shout out to Shaunt, who supported me through the entire leasing process. He was attentive, responsive, kind , genuine and accommodating from start to finish. He is by far the best leasing agent I have worked with in Los Angeles. Moving can be stressful, and he made the process smooth and positive. If you are considering moving here, I highly recommend working with Shaunt specifically! Additionally, the assistant manager, Cesar was also professional, helpful and took the time to listen when I needed support. One piece of feedback I would share is regarding the new third-party service currently used for ESA and service animal verification. The process is overly invasive and difficult to navigate, and I hope the property reviews this system to ensure it remains respectful and reasonable for residents who rely on these accommodations, and/or switches to a program that the other neighboring properties use. I also want to note that I had a few early interactions with Emily, the leasing manager, that felt less welcoming in tone than what I would expect from a leasing agent at any property. I share this as constructive feedback as consistency and communication style can make a huge difference in the resident and guest experience. Overall, I truly love my apartment, the neighborhood and the community and am happy to now call this place home! Thank you Shaunt again for making this happen!!

Love being a resident here (since 2019) but especially with the current property management team from Greystar. They all really care about the residents, the amenities and providing great friendly service. The community is fun and you can’t beat the neighborhood for location and walkability. Also special shout out to Jose from maintenance who is super on top of it!

I just moved in last night after an extensive search in LA; with all the availabilities in the city right now— I had many options and Aliso felt right as soon as toured. Every interaction with Aliso staff has been wonderful, you can tell people enjoy working here. The building is very well maintained and is not your typical high rise luxury amenity building. It’s planned super well, spread out over 5(?) buildings with most units having cross ventilation (the hallways are open air on either end so no more stuffy hallways that smell). I haven’t explored all the amenities yet but the building is as nice as the photos.. might even be nicer than the pics can capture. Shout out to Emily and Shaunt for going above and beyond to make my first apartment search in LA so incredibly welcoming! (Also, this is the second Greystar building I’ve lived in— they’re one of the good ones!

I'm posting here in two parts. The first is to say that in general, I've lived at the Aliso Apartments for just shy of 5 years now, and have been consistently happy here. I love my apartment and all of the various amenities offered to residents in the complex. It's clean and friendly here, and everyone at the main desk has been helpful and responsive whenever I've had any issues (which has been very rarely). This brings me to the second part of this review... Specifically, my kitchen sink clogged up recently for the first time since I moved in, and José, the maintenance staff member who showed up to take care of it, did an outstanding job. He was quick, efficient, knowledgeable, and he not only fixed the problem, but he took care to clean up every trace of his labors afterwards. I feel confident that if anything does happen to go off the rails in my home again, Aliso and staff members like José will be able to set things right.

Emily is a lovely and outstanding leasing manager who was super helpful and responsive when I was looking to sign a lease on short notice, highly recommend!

I’ve lived at Aliso for a few years now, and I truly love it — the overall space, the amenities, and the neighborhood are all fantastic. Over the years, we’ve had a few different management teams, but things have continually improved since Greystar took over. They bring a modern, efficient, and proactive approach to managing the property, and it really shows. The community is always spotless — the cleaning crew keeps everything beautifully maintained and welcoming. The maintenance team is also excellent — Jose and his crew respond quickly, fix things right the first time, and are always professional and courteous. One of the things I appreciate most is how much effort the team puts into building a sense of community. From Dog Yoga to movie nights and game-day watch parties, they create fun, thoughtful ways for residents to connect. They also genuinely listen to resident feedback and make real improvements based on it — which says a lot about their commitment to the people who live here. A special shout-out to Emily, the leasing manager — she’s truly a dream to work with. She’s quick to respond, solutions-oriented, and consistently goes above and beyond to help with any question or need. It’s such a comfort knowing you’re in great hands with her, Marina, and the entire Greystar team. Overall, Aliso is an amazing place to live — beautiful, well-run, and filled with good energy. Highly recommend!

Been a resident here for five years & just resigned for another one. We've had a few different management teams over the years but things have really went uphill since Greystar took over. Every morning, you'll see a cleaning team / pressure-washing the grounds & picking up trash with a smile. Maintenance team is really on their game. Both Jose & Zim Zim are quick / efficient / & super accommodating. I appreciate how they wear shoe booties before entering. There used to be an issue with the mail room but Aliso's owners invested in doubling the lockers & added an additional mail room w/ 2 fridges for those who get food delivery which made a world of a difference. I love that they always make an effort they make to host community events, like movie nights by the pool w/ free snacks & as of lately, they've been hosting Dodger watch parties w/ tab on them for the residents! A lot of the bad reviews looks like its from old management. but if you do decide to move here, bring your dog so you can make friends with your neighbors ◡̈ Oh, and there's free coffee in the front office w/ espresso beans. (that's my fav)

The community is always clean, management puts on fun activities that make it feel neighborly, and maintenance is incredibly fast whenever something comes up. Big shout-out to Jose and his team for being friendly, professional, and on top of every work order. Aliso has consistently delivered for me.

I’ve always wanted to move here and I can honestly say it’s been everything I hoped for and more!! From the very beginning, Maggie (our amazing leasing manager) made the whole process so easy. She was kind, communicative, and genuinely cared every step of the way!! Move-in was seamless - the front desk was super prompt with anything needed, maintenance team has been incredibly helpful & so fast with every little thing we’ve needed, and even setting up our internet with Carl was a breeze!! The community itself is so friendly (and love dogs - there might actually be more dogs than people here 😂). Plus, you can’t beat the location… walking distance from the best restaurants, coffee shops, and events! It truly feels like home already. We’re so grateful to be here! ☺️

I honestly couldn’t be happier living at Aliso. The amenities here are next-level—between the rooftop lounge, gorgeous pool, and modern gym, it really feels like a luxury resort. The location is perfect too—super convenient but still quiet enough to feel like home. The 24/7 security gives me real peace of mind, and the entire property is always spotless and well taken care of. Huge shoutout to the leasing office team—they’re super friendly and made everything so easy from day one. It’s just been such a great experience all around.

Maggie is simply amazing. She is always willing to help us with everything we need, whether in the apartments or the office. Her positive attitude and willingness to solve any problem make all the difference. She is efficient, kind, and always greets us with a smile. We truly appreciate everything she does for us!

Been living here since 2020. We’ve had a few management different companies since. Greystar has made quite a few positive changes, including adding more security. It also seems the office is trying to be more responsive than they were previously, mostly by leasing manager Emily. She’s been quick to respond to questions and concerns, and is always very friendly. Aliso is located in the best area of the Arts District so it’s hard to look anywhere else.

We love the location! So many great restaurants and interesting shops in the area. The apartment property has all kinds of amenities to make the stay there enjoyable. Everything is so well maintained and the leasing office is super helpful with everything. Shaunt took great care of us from showing us available apartments, going through the leasing process, and getting us set up on our first day. The best thing of all is the dog play area. It’s so nice to have a place for the dogs to run free.

SIX MONTH UPDATE: If I could give a 4.5/5, I would. Truthfully, living here has been mostly pretty great. The Good: I love my apartment. Leasing office staff are always helpful and friendly. They do a great job of trying to build community with their events (record fairs, puppies and yoga, mixers). Definitely a good mix of people living here and the amenities are nice. And they've been making upgrades already to some of them, like the theatre, creative space, and pool! Close proximity to fun activities and great food. The Bad: A faulty lock on my door meant being locked out of my apartment at very inconvenient times (needed maintenance to come and unlock my door after midnight once), at least 1x/month for 3-4 months. I think it's resolved now. The complaints about the elevators are real, but very infrequent in my experience. Despite improvements to security and privacy, I've had a couple of small packages stolen from the mailroom, but Amazon was quick to replace/refund. The Ugly: Incessant loud firework noises throughout the week from across the LA River. But it's to be expected if you live in Arts District and mostly bearable. TL;DR There have been some hiccups, but I'm still loving it. _______________________ This review is primarily based off of my experience working with Maggie to tour the facilities and find a unit. She was SUPER helpful in helping me find an apartment that suited both my needs and my budget. There were many questions that I had both during and after my tour, as well as going through the application process and she was so nice, patient, and answered everything as clearly as possible. As far as one bedroom units go, you're going to find that Aliso will probably offer you the most bang for your buck. Size, features (most 1BR will have a kitchen island with built-in storage), and amenities are all top notch. The staff throughout the building were very friendly as well. My only issue, albeit a small one, is that you're paying for a "general" parking spot—you don't have a spot assigned to you, which I think I would prefer. I'll also mention that I've lived in the Arts District for 6 years – so things that I've seen other commenters mention like the random fireworks at night or issues with theft – it's something you should keep in mind if you're living in this neighborhood, no matter how safe or nice the complex is. In spite of some of these shortcomings, I absolutely love living here—highly walkable, great food and opportunities to socialize, and easy access to public transit. Very excited to be a tenant at the Aliso, will leave an update after a few months to confirm the living experience is solid as well.

I recently moved into Aliso in the Arts District, and I have to say the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The location is unbeatable, with easy access to the best that LA’s vibrant Arts District has to offer. The building itself is modern, well-maintained, and filled with useful amenities that make life here comfortable and convenient. However, the real standout is the staff, particularly Andre Sloan. From the moment I inquired about the property, Andre made me feel at home. His friendly demeanor, thoroughness, and expert assistance made the entire process seamless. He answered all my questions, and upon moving in, guided me through the building’s amazing resources to ensure I made the most of everything Aliso has to offer. Andre’s attention to detail and genuine care for residents truly set this place apart. Highly recommend Aliso, especially if you’re lucky enough to work with Andre!

We've called Aliso 'home' for a few weeks now and couldn't be more pleased with our decision. Maggie, the leasing manager, was very accommodating during our tour, and we decided the same day to sign our lease. Maggie was very responsive and helpful as we were preparing for our move, which we really appreciated. We were even invited to a community event, that took place the day before picking up our keys. The entire Aliso staff, as well as Marina, the property manager, have made us feel welcome and at home right from the beginning. Maintenance has responded very promptly to some non-urgent requests, addressed our concerns and left our unit in a clean state. Security is patrolling the premises, which makes a real difference and gives us peace of mind. The community amenities are beautiful and everything is kept very clean. In my opinion, Greystar is taking great care of Aliso. I also think that it's generally a very welcoming vibe and other residents in the community are considerate of their neighbors. We had previously lived in the Arts District in 2015, but relocated to a different part of DTLA. Moving back was the right decision. The area has changed quite a bit over the last few years. Compared to other parts of DTLA, we appreciate the walkability and increased sense of safety.

My partner and I have moved around for work so much, making this our 5th apartment complex. I am not exaggerating, this is the best community we've ever been at. I've waited a few months to write my review so I can be as honest as possible. Room itself: We downsized to a studio to save a little money. There's two of us and a large dog. I was worried about feeling claustrophobic but I just feel like I'm in a sexy hotel room with a kitchen. The balcony is amazing and the area is so walkable and fun a studio has worked well. Some cabinets were out of alignment and dishwasher was off the track but maintenance came the next day to repair our move in requests. Amenities: Beautiful and modern - there's plenty of little nooks, seating areas and rooms to do work. It's perfect for someone who works from home and needs to change up locations frequently. The live work spaces are very diverse and have really cool businesses - Salon, dog boarding, tattoo shop, massage/spa etc. There's a bbq shop and a new sushi spot that's almost done being built, all attached to our community!! We literally don't need to get in the car. Maintenance: I honestly have never experienced a maintenance team so ACTIVE. Everyday they power wash the ground/streets within and surrounding the community. They are seriously always cleaning and maintaining the hallways, elevators and amenities. Management: So nice and helpful! Whenever something is down (door or elevator) they are on it with email communication and signage. We've only been here for a few months and there's been a handful of resident events that's a really fun and I've met so many great people, it really feels like a community - all the dogs help LOL Security: They have two security guards patrolling, those guys are active as well! They audit the parking garage frequently, so make sure you have the sticker on your window. Area: The Arts District has always been our favorite part of downtown LA. Amazing breweries, coffee shops and I feel safe walking my dog around. I do still carry my pepper spray because you will see one or two homeless people every few days but it doesn't take long for the arts district security guards (different than our community security guards) who walk around to tell them to move. It's very sad but awesome we have people patrolling our area.

Amazing apartments and community! I'm moving to the area next month and toured with over a dozen communities, and this one was the best by far! The apartments are spacious and modern, the amenities are incredible, and the staff is amazing! Andre, Mia, and Q all took great care of me. Very excited to move in!

Here is a shout-out to Que in the leasing office! He was attentive, friendly, and understanding of my needs when looking into a new apartment. He answered all of my questions and didn't hesitate to take me and my partner on multiple tours to ensure we were satisfied with our unit! He also was available after our tours to answer all of our questions! His customer service skills are unmatched, and we are so glad he was the one to take us on our tour!

Andre gave us a tour and did at an excellent job of showing us multiple apartments and all of the amenities. We like the place and the staff so much that we just moved in. :)

i went to this community for several times, very clean street, there is a large swimming pool and two-story gym with private cinema and great conference rooms. It is very pet-friendly and has many restaurants nearby, making it very convenient to travel. Just got signed as future resident, Leasing Manager Maggie Rocha is the one I go thru the process with. Very patient and detail, super friendly. And get the best price for me. 5 Star recommend her as well.

Aliso is the perfect property in Arts District. The accessibility to everything in the community is such a perk. The staff in the building is beyond helpful and always a bright light to see everyday! I absolutely love the pet friendliness of the building and cannot say enough good things. If you are looking to move to one LA’s top rated areas to live, Aliso in the Arts District is the place to go.

This is a very friendly complex right in the middle of everything in the Arts District. Great restaurants, coffee and bars nearby but not grocery so that's one thing to consider. The gym is also great. Josh at the leasing office really did a great job in helping us secure the apartment and went above and beyond in making sure that we had everything covered.

This community is the best community I have ever lived in. From social gatherings to great management, since I’ve moved into Aliso I’ve seen nothing but an amazing shift of experience living here. Maggie & Jocelyn specifically have helped me so much with many issues that I’ve had and I’m so grateful to have them here

Recently moved in for an exciting new start in the Arts District!! I had few curveballs adjusting/moving into a new place and all but Maggie (management) helped me through from start to end and solved all the small issues here and there making my settling in process breezy! All the neighbors and management have been super friendly thus far.

Aliso, had been a place I’ve been wanting to tour for a while due to the Live/Work spaces they have available precisely for my business. I was able to tour with “Maggie” today. As a business owner I know first hand that customer service is KEY to business. “Maggie” exceeded my expectations in todays tour. Her charming personality and knowledgeable experience in today’s tour was amazing! Just want to take a moment to share my thoughts and post a well deserved review to this young lady. Also, my dog “Bells” loved her on our tour. Maggie even offered my dog some water since it was a hot day and they have a bowl of water in the leasing office for dogs . Such a special touch! Amazing! Since new management has taken over - the security around Aliso and cleanliness has been lacking in comparison to the old team. I have been here for three years, unsure if I'll extend to four. Changed my 5 star rating to a 4 star rating - and that's being generous. Also, from reading the other comments it seems my fellow neighbors share the same sentiment.

Ty was so sweet and gave us such a great tour. Really sold and we hope to secure a place in July! Update: no more hoping! Thanks to Ty, my husband and I will be in our unit in a week! Ty truly went above and beyond to make sure we got the best deal for our place. Hands down the best leasing agent I’ve ver dealt with! Thank you Ty and the rest of Aliso Management team!
