    We had such a fantastic experience with the move-in process at Villas on Rio this year! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that everything was thoughtfully planned and well organized. Traffic flow was efficient, parking was managed seamlessly, and the staff was present and helpful at every step. Having carts available and team members stationed on each floor to quickly gather and remove boxes was such a great touch — it kept the hallways clear and made the entire process stress-free. Our family had a very different experience at another complex last year, with broken elevators and chaotic parking, so the contrast at Villas on Rio was night and day. This year’s process was smooth, calm, and even enjoyable thanks to the planning and attention to detail from the team. We are so grateful to the entire staff for making what is usually a stressful day such a positive and easy one. Thank you, Villas on Rio!

    I’ve lived at villas for almost one year and have already resigned to live here again next year! They always have fun activities and cool giveaways for residents and there are so many amazing amenities. The only downside would have to be that the elevators are constantly breaking and never really working all at once. Other than that, I love it here!

    Update: Rent is still a bit high and occasional amenity issues arise, but I have enjoyed living here a lot more! This is one of the better apartments at UT Austin in my opinion. The amenities and community events are super nice, and being so close to campus is another great factor. The staff here are very helpful and communicative .

We strive to maintain a high standard and apologize if we fell short in your case. Regarding the airflow and trash system, we acknowledge that these are areas for improvement, and we’re currently reviewing possible solutions to enhance the living experience for all residents. In the meantime, we recommend air purifiers or fans, as you mentioned, to improve airflow in the more enclosed spaces. Your positive notes on the amenities, especially the rooftop pool and gym, are much appreciated. However, we are sorry to hear about the cleanliness issues in the downstairs spa and pool area, as well as the sauna temperature. We’ll bring these matters to the attention of our team to ensure they are addressed as quickly as possible. We are continuously working to improve elevator functionality, and we regret any inconvenience caused by recent outages.     I currently live here as of my sophomore year at UT and I have had a pleasant experience living at Villas on Rio, in terms of interacting with staff, maintenance, and amenities. However, I feel like my experience living here was greatly overshadowed by the lack of sunlight in my apartment. When I was signing for an apartment, I selected the option for a window premium, but I was assigned to an apartment that had a window facing directly to a wall, much to my dismay. So I am a little depressed going home every day and when I wake up not knowing the time of day at all. But I’m sure that if I had sunlight, I would’ve enjoyed my time here much more. I am not living here again due to academic needs related to being a music major & needing a space to practice in that won’t annoy everyone, but I would have lived here again if I was a different major + if it had sunlight. The best thing for me here was the price. For such a convenient location that is not deep in West Campus at all, I paid such a good price compared to other apartments in Wampus so I would actually highly recommend this place to anyone, but would proceed with caution if sunlight is really important to you.
