AMLI South Shore

Just moved this week and everything went perfectly! The leasing staff were very helpful in getting us set up and the amenities here are wonderful. Really like that the complex is right next to the colorado river.

AMLI South Shore is a great choice with quality amenities and amazing staff. Calli from the leasing office was especially wonderful to work with at AMLI South Shore! She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout the entire process, always taking the time to answer questions and provide support along the way. She was also very efficient and professional, with quick communication and great organization that made everything feel smooth and seamless. Her attentiveness and genuine care really stood out. We had a great experience!

The leasing office is top-notch. Everything I’ve had to deal with has been handled above and beyond by them and they got me in on a time crunch. Super grateful.

AMLI is a nice place to live overall. The units are attractive inside, with beautiful countertops, nice appliances, quality washers and dryers, and a decent amount of space for a one-bedroom apartment. At times, it has been a little frustrating when work is being done around the complex, especially when certain areas are blocked off and it becomes harder to access the garage. There has been quite a bit of work going on, including redoing flower beds, pressure washing, roof work, landscaping, painting, and other updates. That said, I can’t really fault them for maintaining the property and trying to keep it looking good. They clearly put effort into keeping the complex in good shape. Maintenance is also very responsive, and every member of the maintenance staff I’ve dealt with has been extremely kind and helpful. Management is professional as well. They do not tolerate disrespect, but if you treat them with respect, they will treat you the same way and are usually willing to work with you. The location is also a big plus. Having 1618 Asian Fusion on the first floor is really convenient. It’s popular, delicious, and beautiful inside. It’s also great having Live Love Paddle downstairs, so anytime you feel like getting out on Lady Bird Lake, you can rent a canoe or paddleboard. The complex is also connected to the hike-and-bike trail around Lady Bird Lake, which is extremely convenient. All in all, AMLI is a pretty solid place to live.

Perfect location right next to the running trail right by the lake and food trucks, and great amenities ( gym/valet trash) I also never once had to worry about a package not getting delivered. Excellent attentive staff that is always happy to help with any questions or issues or you may be having, and they always keep you updated well in advance on on building maintenance or upcoming weather issues. Definitely A+, would gladly stay here again in the future.

I got to tour with Brittany at the AMLI Southshore and had a wonderful time! She was very personable and answered every question that we had. I highly recommend giving this place a chance. Their staff is exceptional and so is the location!

Super pleased with my decision to move here. Absolutely love living on the trail and having a food truck court yard on property. Location is always clean and feels really safe.

I was worried about receiving a package on-time, and they went above and beyond to help me track it down and make sure it was delivered safely. They were friendly, professional, and really patient throughout the process, which made a stressful situation so much easier. I’ve been living here for a few months and it’s been a great experience. The amenities are top-notch, and the office staff—shout out to Jenna and Alli—have been incredibly helpful. Jenna came through for me in a pinch, and Alli made my move-in process smooth and stress-free. The property is right on the lake (major win), with a private park and direct access to the trail and water. There are even tasty food trucks that come right onto the property—such a nice bonus. The gym, business center, and Amazon package lockers round out a solid list of amenities. Maintenance is fast and friendly—I submitted two tickets last night and they showed up this morning. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed living here.

The amli south shore has been such a great experience, and a big part of that is thanks to Alexa! She truly goes above and beyond—whether it’s answering questions, or just being friendly. You can tell she genuinely cares about the residents and takes pride in making this community feel like home. All the staff here at Amli South Shore is truly amazing and willing to go the extra mile for you. The complex itself is clean, quiet, and well-maintained, and the amenities are a huge bonus. But it’s the people—especially Alexa—that make this place really stand out. I’m so glad I chose to live here!

You can tell they genuinely care about the residents and the community. The new manager is professional, responsive, and always willing to listen. Issues that used to take weeks to resolve are now being handled quickly and efficiently. The office staff is warm, welcoming, and always helpful. Whether it’s answering questions, helping with maintenance requests, or just greeting you with a smile when you walk in, they go above and beyond. You can feel the positive shift in the energy here—things are cleaner, better organized, and overall just feel more like home. It’s refreshing to see a team that truly takes pride in their work and cares about the people who live here. I’m grateful for the improvements and excited to see how the community continues to grow under this new leadership.

AMLI South Shore is my favorite apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. There are many things I’d like to highlight: the gym is great, the workspaces are comfortable, the social room is welcoming, and the staff is incredibly helpful. Special shout-out to Adan, who unfortunately won’t be at this location anymore since he’ll be supporting other properties. Overall, living here has been an amazing experience, and I absolutely love my apartment.

As an apartment locator working in Austin I interact with the staff here on a frequent basis - they are all fantastic across the board, and Jen in particular is always so punctual, hospitable, and knowledgeable! If you have an opportunity to live here, I would highly recommend you take it!

We have been here just over a week and we're loving it. This was a major adjustment for us moving from a big house in Dallas to a 2 bedroom apartment in Austin. With every move there will be hiccups and I've always felt that the way they get handled is what matters. This is the reason the AMLI Southshore get's 5 stars. We had a minor kerfluffle on what our move in time was but... no problem they fixed it right up. Ice machine not working in the fridge? They were there in 45 minutes to fix it. Sitting down and explaining all the amenities, how the mail room works, how trash service works, why they might not pickup on inclement weather days etc, all super professional. We love this place because 1. right on the water, you are a short walk through the complex to the trail on Lady Bird Lake 2. Staff responsiveness and caring - Jen for showing and getting us set up and Joyce for handling all the first day issues 3. Nicely laid out apartments 4. Super quiet we haven't heard hardly anything from our upstairs or side to side neighbors, absolutely the quietest apartment we've ever had 5. No bugs period they keep the entire facility well maintained and cleaned. 6. Everyone we've met so far have been super friendly 7. Pet friendly apartment! Sure there are a few jerks in any place that let their pets off leash where they shouldn't but overall our mini-schnauzer has been having a blast. Thank you AMLI staff for making this transition so easy.

Total scramble to find a new apartment and Jen in the leasing office was such a doll in calming me down. She went above and beyond in sending me options - working through them over the phone and landing on a few to apply for. If Jen keeps working there- I will 100% be moving to AMLI South Shore!!

I've lived at the AMLI South Shore for a little over 3 years, so the goal of this review is to give a clear-eyed account of what you can expect when living here. (Also, I'm giving it 4 stars when I'd probably rate the place more at 4.5. Not gonna round up, though, because 5 star reviews always seem a bit like they are shilling.) One thing to note is that there's a big divide between Building 7 and the rest of the complex. Building 7 is newer, more expensive, and right on the river. The other buildings are older and have more affordable units. The good news is that even those of us in the older buildings can still go over to Building 7 and use their very nice common areas. So if you decide to live here be sure to spend some time hanging out at the rooftop deck in Building 7, because it is easily one of the best views in the entire city. The location absolutely cannot be beat. The trail is one of Austin's true gems and the access to it that you get from AMLI is better than anywhere else. You can also walk to Emo's, Come & Take It Live, the Buzz Mill, and dozens of excellent places to eat. You're right in the middle of Austin without being downtown, so if you have to drive somewhere you'll be able to get there much faster than you'd expect. That said, Lakeshore Blvd is getting increasingly crowded, so be prepared to deal with some frustration driving in and out of that entrance during rush hours. Having 1618 Asian Fusion on site is a blessing and a curse. It's a great spot to take a date and the food is excellent (if you work from home, order your lunch to-go from there and you'll never be disappointed). However, it also causes a snarl of traffic and some chaos in the parking garage during the evenings and weekends. If your unit has windows or a balcony near 1618 you are going to be hearing loud groups leaving the place on weekend evenings, and loud refrigerated trucks making food deliveries early in the morning. For me, personally, the positives outweighed the negatives. The place is very well maintained, though it is showing its age (other than Building 7). There's always going to be some major or semi-major repair happening somewhere around the complex, which can be annoying but is far better than the alternative. Don't be shy about putting in any maintenance requests you need, especially if it's something you notice in a common area. The staff is really good at taking care of things once it gets brought to their attention, but I've definitely seen some things go unfixed for a while because we all assumed someone else will be the one to bring it up. They are very good about listening to residents and improving where they can. The package room used to be complete chaos, and the prospect of getting a package delivered was very stressful (especially during the holidays). Then they installed new package lockers, and now getting a package delivered is much less stressful. On the subject of deliveries, the USPS postal carrier assigned to AMLI isn't going to ever bother trying to get a signature for a certified letter (or any other signature-required delivery) so if you are getting one sent to you expect to have to go to the local Post Office to pick it up yourself. This isn't a problem specific to the AMLI, though, as conversations I've had with resident in other complexes in the area confirm that they have the same problems with their USPS service. This review is laughably long, but if you've made it to this point then you probably do want to live here. So I say: go for it. It's gonna be kinda loud and kinda messy but also years from now you'll look back at your time here and be glad that you got to experience it.

I’ve been searching an apartment close to my work and i saw this complex and go to leasing office. Office workers were so nice. Mr. Adan helped me the find perfect apartment for me. I can’t wait to move!!!

AMLI has been an incredible place to live. It is a gorgeous location but my experience has really been 5 stars because of the office staff at SouthShore specifically Adan. He has helped me with so many barriers and issues and always with a smile and sassy laugh. Truly I am so grateful for him and knowing I have that support is what makes me enjoy the space even more!

Moving from Australia to Austin Texas in June 2024, finding our first place to live was kind of a big deal. We were lucky to have temporary accomodation for 6 weeks to have a chance to look around in different areas and complexes. My wife and I came across AMLI South shore and immediately fell in love with it. From a location perspective, it’s probably the best place to live if needing to be close to the city. It is perfectly located along the lake and is great for outdoors, jogging, kayaking etc. The view from the community area on the top floor overlooking the lake and the city is spectacular. The staff here are excellent. Maintenance are very responsive, the pool guy Dereck takes his job very seriously and the admin staff Aidan and the team have provided an A1 service. They even signed a birthday card and dropped it off to our door. Although AMLI South Shore feels like a holiday resort it also feels like home. The residents here are also very friendly.
