I’ve had an amazing experience at the Flat Iron apartment complex so far. The leasing desk staff is incredibly professional and helpful. The first floor features a well-maintained gym, pool table, and pool, along with an upstairs snack bar, with a good selection of essentials, that accepts digital payments. I find that convenient. There’s also a café at the building’s base, although I haven’t tried anything from there yet. However, there’s a designated area for accessing the café that requires a domain access key. They offer multiple workspaces and can book conference rooms, which is a great addition. On top of all this, my apartment feels like a home. I moved here recently, from a newly built house I had newly built 3 years ago out of state and was initially skeptical about apartments because I was concerned about losing space. But I think I made the right choice. The space I lost is made up for by many other advantages. The location is also incredibly convenient. It’s not in the middle of the domain, where all the noise is, but it is within walking distance.

Since the first day I moved into the Flatiron Domain, Jessica has helped to positively shape my experience. Whenever I have a question or an issue comes up, she is available and gets back to me quickly. She is helpful without making things feel complicated, and she brings a positive attitude to every interaction. I appreciate the support Jessica has provided during my time here. She is a strong part of the management team and has helped make my experience at the Flatiron Domain a good one.

I’ve had a really positive experience living here. The property itself is well-maintained, clean, and overall a very pleasant place to call home. The location is a huge plus—everything you need is conveniently nearby, and the area feels safe and comfortable. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the management and staff. Everyone is friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently, which makes a big difference in day-to-day living. A special shoutout to Jane, the leasing agent, who has been absolutely wonderful throughout my experience. She’s always approachable, responsive, and goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel taken care of. Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a great place to live with a supportive and attentive team.

The Flatiron is one of the most beautiful communities around North Austin. This is my second time living in here and I can say the management and staff of this place is unbeatable as well as the apartment units itself.

I love living at Flatiron! It’s right at the south end of The Domain, so there are tons of places to eat and shop nearby. The resident happy hour is one of my favorite things—it’s such a fun way to meet neighbors and network. The staff and maintenance team are always super friendly and quick to help out. Couldn’t ask for a better community!

My tour of the Flatiron was amazing. There are many choices in the Domain but if you want a living experience that makes you feel like you are home this is one of my top choices. I met John and the onsite staff and let me say I was impressed on how well maintained the property is. It shows they care about the community and residents.

Today I visited The FlatIron apartment property looking for rental information for an apartment. The leasing office is very nice and the staff is very friendly. I plan to return with my husband because it truly looks very attractive, clean, and in a very central and safe location.

I love living at Flatiron. Such a convenient location. Great apartment. Gym is so nice. The team at the office and maintenance are phenomenal. They really do go above and beyond. Neighbors are friendly. The Medici coffee is yummy next door. We get discounts for some of the foods and retail stores around the domain area. It is an apartment complex so sometimes you can hear noises but nothing crazy. They added a mini market for residents to purchase late night snacks, drinks or everyday toiletries/ basic house supplies.

Toured the community and loved everything about it! The office staff was warm and welcoming and answered all my questions. Beautiful property in a great location at the Domain.

Adriana was so helpful and kind. Everyone in the office was patient when working with me during a stressful time! The community here is great & I’m excited for this journey here at the flatiron!

Flat iron is a great place to live! Not only does it have beautiful interior but the location is so convenient. Shopping, food, Austin entertainment, and so much more! The manager Michaela is awesome and has been so welcoming. If you want to live the Austin experience, flat iron is the place to be!

Highly recommend the flat iron because of the nice apartments and awesome apartment staff! I have lived in the domain over 5 years at almost every apartment , and the flat iron is by far the best. Jenny helped us with our apartment move in and made the process so easy. Janay and Jenny are a great team I look forward to getting coffee at Medici every morning and them greeting me. Everyone is so friendly and they make it like a family atmosphere. The apartments are always clean and the interior is so nice. The office management means a lot to us because living in other places in the domain where they neglect everything or act like they don't care Jenny and Janay do the complete opposite and make sure we are always taken care of. If you are looking to move to the domain choose the flat iron.

We moved to Flatiron recently. We are enjoying a lot the community. The move in process was smooth and easy. I would like to give a special highlight for Jenny of leasing office. She has been amazingly helpful since the first visit and make everything easy for us!

The Flatiron at the Domain is overall a well maintained and run building. The staff is friendly, helpful and well informed about the property. Dante was super helpful during the tour, application process, and signing my lease. Move in was easy and stress free; there were some minor issues with my unit but nothing serious and maintenance came once I submitted a request via the portal. I see cleaning staff on a regular basis and trash in collected almost everyday if set outside unit before 6 PM. Other residents are friendly and respectful of the property; I’ve enjoyed taking part in the weekly free Happy Hour. Like any apartment building the walls tend to be thinner and you do hear some noise but nothing in excess. The building is well located in a walkable part of the Domain. It is in South Domain so it’s a bit of a walk to some popular places but that also comes with more peace and quiet on busy days in the Domain. Overall, I am very stratified with my choice in apartment I think it is a good value for money, at times little higher priced than some other apartments in the area but you get what you pay for 100%.

I recently settled into Flatiron, and I must say, it's been a fantastic experience. A huge part of this was due to Dante, the assistant community manager, who went above and beyond to ensure a seamless application and move-in process for me. Despite being outside the country and facing website access issues during the online application, Dante's flexibility and consistent communication made everything easier and near hassle-free. Moreover, I'm loving my unit. The complex itself is impressive, with top notch amenities and the overall ambience is serene.

I have had nothing but phenomenal service from the moment I stepped into the Flatiron Domain. Not only is it in the best location, the staff are extremely great compared to other Greystar sister properties. Dante has been amazing when it comes to communication, acceptance, and all promoting resident events. I have enjoyed my home so far (moved in 12/6) and it is a very quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking and hardly no issues thus far.

I've been in couple apt complexes before, really didn't have best experience, especially dealing with the management, but honestly the case was really different since the first day in Flatiron Domain. Big thanks to Dante. really super professional. My move-in process was super smooth

I have lived in the building since it was first built, I have enjoyed living here and it has been hard even after going and touring the Bowen and The Thompson to decide to pickup and leave. Dante and Cathy who are the new community managers have shown how great it can to live here and during a crazy holiday season transition from our other unit. They have shown they respect the long term tenants and it felt good to stay rather than leave. The new unit had a couple of issues which I was frustrated at first and Dante especially leaped in to resolve and was also key in communicating quickly back and fourth throughout the transition smoothing it out and gaining faith that he makes good on all his promises. This property has seen some turnover in the manager sector but so far have seen positive experiences and good follow up especially coming from Danielle, Cathy, and Dante.

Update: I got the check ! The manager was true to her word. Thank you! Adding one star to the review. Latest: The manager called me to apologize for double-charging me for the cleaning fee - and will issue a refund. I appreciate that. Update: I moved out of Flatiron Domain recently and am disappointed by how much they still want to charge you even after I cleaned up and paid for the express clean up as well. They really nickel and dime you - so disappointed! --- I have been a resident since 2019 and love living here! Recently, I was thrilled that the manager, Danielle, was able to reduce my rent increase so I re-signed my lease! I am thankful to be living in such a great complex that is clean, well-maintained, efficient and quiet despite being in the Domain. The location can't be beat and the amenities are top-notch!

I’ve been here for about 8 months, and it’s wonderful. The front desk staff are truly the best; it’s quiet and well maintained; and the residents are welcoming. While tucked away from the craziness of Domain North, it’s still walking distance to everything in the Domain.

I have dealt with various Assistant Community Managers throughout Austin during the past couple of years. I can honestly say Mr.Dante Lewis is best in the industry. He is extremely professional, passionate and a honest individual. He responds to any concerns or inquiry's promptly and keeps you updated without having to worry. I would strongly recommend Mr.Dante Lewis.

The staff I met were very friendly and courteous. Property was very nice. My second pick to the Bowen Apartments.

The property and unit are exceeding our expectations. The residents and staff are friendly, kind, and welcoming. The residential environment has given us a sense of belonging.

It’s a beautiful community in an amazing location. Everything is perfectly located and convenient. They are very short staffed but efficient.

The flatiron staff is amazing! They always go the extra mile, and were able to accommodate me with all move in and move out matter. Special things to the office manager, Danielle and TSA Dante for excellent customer service!

5 stars does not do the Flatiron justice, it should be 10. From the location, to the high-end apartments and amenities, it’s a must live at luxury apartment complex. I actually refer to it as a luxury resort / lifestyle. The leasing staff is amazing, especially Alaeya, who is so professional and just fun to conversate with. This is the place to live if you’re moving to the Domain area; close enough to the action, but far enough to get away as Rock Rose St. can get loud and busy on certain nights. Just move to Flatiron, hit their fitness center which rivals gyms in town, check out their Tuesday resident happy hour in their community bar area, and you’ll know you found “home”.

I love it! Wonderful leasing staff, and the Property Manager, Danielle, is amazing. Will live here for a long time. Moving in felt very welcoming, and I’ve met many great neighbors as well

Pros: The maintenance and cleaning staff here are seriously amazing. Tons of events for residents like happy hours and stuff. The amenities are very nice. Very quiet part of the Domain. Cons: The former assistant property manager tried to not honor waiving our application fee (make sure you get it on email/in writing) but got overruled by the former property manager after I gave them a 1 star review on Google. Neither of them are still here. Random sketchy people in the lobby/pool area that definitely don't live here. Occasional weed smells in the hallway. Overall: If you're dead set on living in the Domain area I would definitely recommend the Flatiron as all of the Cons I listed will more than likely be similar if not worse at other apartments at the Domain.

Over the past year, I have enjoyed living the in Flatiron so much that I decided to renew for another year! Some of my favorite things about living here include the location, amenities, and property manager Danielle who is attentive to requests. All of the staff have been very helpful and are super friendly and know you by name. The location is perfect for getting in and out of the domain without having to sit in traffic while still being completely walkable. The finishes in the apartment are superior to other rental communities in the area. Also, they throw cool resident events and even have a free Happy Hour weekly which helps you to get to know your neighbors (that was a huge plus when I moved from the east coast and didn't know anyone).

I lived at Flat Iron Late 2021 into Mid 2022 as my first entrance into Austin and can second a lot of what the other reviews mentioned. Both the good and the bad. The good: Location is great, amenities are on par with what you would expect at this price point in Austin, staff is friendly, and the lobby was always cool to walk into. It's also in Domain without being in the thick of Domain, which was a good balance for me. And now that I've been in Austin longer and lived other places, I have an appreciation for Domain and that part of town (it's newer, cleaner, less homeless in that area, etc). Things to watch out for, first off....your things. I also had decor stolen, packages go missing, and my car backed into without any notes left. Seems like at that $$ point, they should at least have more cameras in the hallways and garage areas to help with this. Other than that, the thing you deal with almost daily is noise from neighbors. FlatIron has wooden construction between the floors, so your downstairs neighbors will likely hear every step you make, as will you for the neighbors above you. My upstairs neighbor didn't ever seem like she was being intentionally loud or doing anything other than a normal person would, but it still sounded like a horse in high heels lived above me (full disclosure: I never actually saw this neighbor, so it's possible that's actually what was going on?). Similarly, I always felt like I was being cautious walking around the apartment because I wanted to be respectful of those below me. That's a common thing in a lot of newer buildings and some are way worse than FlatIron, but just a heads up. Does seem like if they're building luxury apartments from scratch to rent out at those price points, they should thicken the floors and add sound dampers. ;-)

My husband and I moved to Flatiron Domain a year ago, and we absolutely love the place! It’s clean, people are good, the staff is great - very helpful and warm! This is our first stay in the US and we are glad we chose FLATIRON Domain

Jasmin, the front office manager, is absolutely amazing! She was always there to answer any question I had, help get my mail when I was out of town, and assist with any issue occurred. Jasmin was always there to greet me and my family with a kind smile, and she made us feel so at home at the Flatiron Domain. I felt I had a family with her and many of the other staff members. I just want to thank Jasmin and the rest of the front office for being so amazing.

I absolutely love the leasing staff! Jasmine has been a huge support since day one and I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate the kindness of the entire leasing team. It is a gorgeous community and I absolutely love the location.

People can make the difference when you choose to live somewhere. Who management chooses to represent the leasing and manage the office can either make or break a community and having staff that cares, can help residents overlook things that may take place during their time there. I have seen the growth of Flatiron and the staff change hands. When it comes to stellar sincerity and performance, Jasmin stands out from everyone. How others chose to handle some matters, just did not compare to Jasmin. Previous management like Brenda chose to sleep in the lobby during the major power outage… will never be forgotten. She did that to ensure residents felt safe and knew she was there. Brenda and Jasmin both went far beyond what they were paid to do. It’s these two that stand out to me and made my time there much better than just a place to live. I LOVE Jasmin. IShe gives things her all, she goes above and beyond and I just want to thank the “management team” for their time, smiles and assistance with everything.

I was a resident of Flatiron for 2 years and absolutely loved my apartment. The ability to walk across the street and mail out packages was the most convenient. The staff is great, especially Jasmin- who’s always smiling and ready to go above and beyond for the residents. I hated that I have to move out. Flatiron is the best in The Domain hands down!

Jasmin Richardson without a doubt, one of the manager from Flatiron Apartments team. I asked a lot of questions to Jasmine some of which were a lot, yet she never hesitated to respond. She have instantly responded to all of my questions with all of the details and cheerful look on her face. She is a super duper professional and approachable who know the ropes of the property. I can not rate Jasmin highly enough, as far as she has been the best I've dealt with. With that being said there is not enough stars to rate appropriately to a capable, caring, responsive and proactive lady. I have been a resident since December of 2020 and I absolutely love the flatiron. The amenities are top tier and the leasing staff is so sweet. I’m beyond grateful for Jasmin who is always quick to help me with any questions or concerns I have. Would most definitely recommend this complex.

Just moved in a week ago. Love the surrounding community as well as the apartment complex. Very well kept and so far very quiet 😀! The staff in the leasing office has always been very helpful.

Awesome building, with great amenities and perfect location. The staff is always helpful and even put on cool events (e.g. pool parties, movie nights) which builds a nice sense of community. The units are really nice with details and finishings that I was surprised to see in an apartment (e.g. tall ceilings, central air, high-end appliances). I signed my lease sight-unseen after talking with a few members of the management team and everything has exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

I recently moved out, but I lived here for 2 years in a one bedroom apartment with my boyfriend and dog. I enjoyed it, never heard my neighbors too much and made lots of friends while living here! A big shout out to the management team: Shannell is an absolutely wonderful manager. I had an issue with a creepy guy harassing me in the building, and she personally took care of it for me. Michael, Alyea and Jasmin are also rockstars--they always went above and beyond to help me with any task or question I needed. I only gave it 4 stars because while we were staying there, my boyfriend's bike was stolen from the locked bike room, so I do think security should be looked at.The prices are also a bit high for what I think the value is, but I am from the Midwest and am still adjusting to Austin housing prices. Overall, I'd recommend it if you're interested in living in the Domain!

The Flatiron Domain is always really well kept and clean! The amenities are GORGEOUS and the staff is amazing too! The staff truly cares about their residents and puts on great resident events monthly too! With all of that, and the location, it is definitely a place to check out if you want the full Austin luxury living experience!
