How consistent is the rating
Its rating has stayed within about ±0.2★ of its average over time, month to month. (This measures the wobble around the average — the change-point above is the average itself moving.)
Measured from the rating weighted by how many reviews back each month, so a single review can't swing it. Sourced, not scored.

I was looking for an apartment fast. I called and got a tour that day, and was able to sign a lease the next day. Clean apartment, fully furnished and extremely cheap! For the location, furnishings, and all utilities included this is the best deal I've had in Cedar City. ontop of that they had flexible leases, the neighbors were all respectful and quiet, and the staff were so so nice. It felt very homey that the staff knew me by name. Genuinely, I tell all my friends to apply here when they're looking for a place in Cedar. Loved, loved, loved my experience here

What a place. It's right on main and it has comfy simple necessities. I love it here with the great amenities in the apartments of the hot tub and fireplace and the amazing string lights that hang over I enjoy going outside and looking at them every once and awhile. The maintenance has ALWAYS been top of the class and right on it if I needed anything. Very clean and nice location near the University and main street foods and events. Honestly one of the most convenient places to be if you're looking for an awesome cute place. The owners have always been super nice and understanding people. The only down is that they don't have ovens but my little toaster has never caused any mishaps.

Nice place if you're looking for a cheap hotel that you won't be spending a ton of time in. It's good for people traveling to the Shakespeare festival at SUU but it isn't particularly fancy and they no longer have a pool. They have a hot tub and good breakfast and quaint rooms, though!
Management responded
Sydney, thank you for staying with us. We are glad you liked your stay. We try to stay competitive in our rates and offer an affordable price to our guests. Thank you for your comments. We hope to see you again!

Stayed free because of a tournament so I can't comment on value. The room was about 50 degrees I wish they would have turned on the heater prior to us getting there. The rooms are good, clean, service was good. The beds only had a very light blanket I was shocked. Had to keep the heater running all night which made it very dry in the room and everyone was stuffed up all night because of it. I'd stay again but they need to get thicker blankets this isn't Phoenix!
Management responded
Chandler, we are glad you were able to enjoy the comp room, for the tournament. We apologize for the cold weather and the heater that had to run all night. our blankets are thermal blankets in ALL of the rooms. We are sorry they were not sufficient. We will take your suggestion on running the heaters, under advisement. As you can imagine, Utah is a very dry state weather wise. Therefore, during the winter the air gets even dryer. If we could enjoy humidifiers in all the rooms, wouldn't that be nice? Thank you for your comments.

Simple little hotel in the center of the city. We stay here every year when we go to the Shakespeare Festival. I love the location because we can walk to local restaurants and walk to our shows. It’s very clean and comfortable. The only critic I give is that the building and air needs to be updated, but it’s an older building and everything works great. Small note to the hotel owner. Please add a hand towel holder over the sink so we have a place to dry our hands. We will be back and stay here every year.
Management responded
Lindsay, Thank you for your positive comments and rating. We have addressed your requests to our manager. With your ideas andinput, we can only improve. We hope to see you again, next year!

This is the second year in a row I've stayed in this hotel for the Shakespeare Festival and I see no reason to break with the tradition. Nice clean rooms, helpful and friendly staff, good basic self serve breakfast. Can't be beat in proximity to the festival theatres as well as several very good restaurants and a local winery.

My wife and I decided to attend a few plays at the Shakespearean festival. We stayed two nights at Stratford and were happy with the cleanliness and comfort of the 2nd floor room we had. The location is excellent for the plays. Just a quick walk down the street to attend. We also wandered through the downtown area and spent a few $. Overall, we had a really fun experience in Cedar City and the Stratford was a good part of that.
Management responded
Thank you so much for your great comments! We are so happy that your stay was a pleasant one. We love being so close to everything. Thank you for staying with us!
- ★★★★★Aug 2018Amenities
It has all the basic amenities: comfortable beds, AC, TV, table and chair, fridge and microwave, complimentary breakfast. There is no pool -- photos that show one are outdated -- but there is a hot tub and a grassy courtyard where the pool used to be, with a fire pit. The online description uses expressions like "straightforward", "informal", and "understated" to describe the rooms, but what it really means is, "barely decorated". Our room has only one wall hanging, which is a quote from Romeo and Juliet in "subway art" style. That doesn't affect the utility of the room, but it does have a rather bare-bones feel. The bathroom is also very basic and small, with a low ceiling and a greenish light, and the toilet makes a constant dripping sound. On the plus side, the shampoo and conditioner are Pantene. The service has been good so far; the room was very clean when we arrived, and the desk clerk brought us a toilet plunger at midnight when we needed one. What really makes this hotel great is the location: it's a short walk to many shops and restaurants, and, most importantly, the Shakespeare Festival.
Management responded
Melissa, Thank you for staying with us. We really appreciate your feedback. The Stratford Court was the subject of a show called "Hotel Impossible" The person who was in this show actually had a decorator who felt that we needed to keep it simple. We apologize that you felt it was very basic. Unfortunately, our pool was having major issues and could not continue to operate. The pictures on line are those of guests from previous stays. We are not allowed to remove them. We hope you enjoyed the courtyard. We also allow all of our guests to use the pool at the El Rey Inn and Suites, our sister property, next door. We hope you were able to enjoy it.

I stayed at the Stratford because of its proximity to the USF. The room was spacious, clean, and the mattresses were solid, but soft. They require your key card to access the building, thus providing added security. The traffic noise was slight, but running the fans took care of that. The hallways are wide and I noticed how loud it is when people talk in the hallways and I do hope they re-tar the parking lot someday. I inadvertently left a personal item and they had kept it at the front desk, which I was grateful for. I have always liked this hotel and the remodel has enhanced its appeal.
Management responded
Gordon, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the views of our guests. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for noticing the updates. We are in the process of getting bids to redo our parking lot. We hope to see you again!!

The service was great. We were traveling late and didn't get in until 1am and were ready to sleep. The office door was locked, but the managers were quick to answer the doorbell and got us checked in right away. I would say the room was slightly better than an average hotel. The thing we liked and noticed, was that the room including beds, towels, bathroom, etc...all seemed neat and clean compared to other hotels we've stayed at. We felt comfortable there. For the price and experience, I don't think you can beat it. We were happy with our stay.
Management responded

Super home-y rooms, with a very friendly staff. In the rooms, they have all the toiletries you could need like shampoo, conditioner, soap, a face bar, and even makeup remover wipes! The facility isn't the nicest looking from the outside, but other than that this is a great spot for a great price!

Cute little Shakespeare themed hotel a short two blocks from the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Flat screen tv, microwave, and compact fridge were in room amenities. Great location in Historic Downtown Cedar City within walking distance to a variety of restaurants, eateries, and a coffee kiosk.
